Jose Luis Cobo is the manager of this Practice Group. He is currently involved as a Member of the Board of Directors of many clients which interests are defended by LR Abogados.
The Corporate Practice Group handles the full spectrum of corporate and securities work, including public and private debt and equity financings, joint venture financing, mergers and acquisitions, corporate organization and maintenance, reorganizations, recapitalizations and restructuring, reporting and governance matters and corporate controversy.
LR Abogados represents business clients of all types, including corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, investment trusts, investment banking firms and branches.
This experience includes preparation of the necessary Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, corporate records and other filings, as well as negotiating and drafting corporate contracts, providing advice regarding dividend policies and extraordinary corporate transactions. We assist our clients in the preparation of regulatory filings, negotiation of employment agreements, and the development of stock option plans, and other employee benefit plans. We represent both corporations and management in the negotiation and preparation of employment, shareholder, non-compete, confidentiality, licensing, technology transfer.
We also assist our clients in the areas of commercial and real estate finance, creditors’ rights and bankruptcy matters, environmental and litigation. The members of our Taxation Group are involved in all aspects of our practice and frequently offer alternative solutions to traditional activities resulting in substantial tax savings to our clients.
